AORP – Portuguese Jewellery and Watchmaking Association – was present at the 50th edition of Portugal Fashion with the presentation of the international promotion campaign of the jewellery sector Travessia and the exhibition Crossings.

The national association boosted the “Portuguese Jewellery Travessia” event at Sala das Ribeiras of Alfândega do Porto, with an exclusive presentation dinner of the new international campaign launched at @expo2020dubai, for national and international media and guests.

The Travessia campaign was born to affirm Portuguese jewelry internationally. «Faced with a world transformed by innovation, digital migration and new social dynamics, the AORP projects the sector in this new global context (…) supporting companies in their transition to an industry 4.0 and to the digital environment, without this representing a detachment from the values that characterize and differentiate this sector: savoir-faire, tradition and sustainability», explains AORP.

The Crossings collection emerged as the materialization of Travessia, with the contribution of five Portuguese jewellery brands that were challenged by AORP to create a jewel, in co-creation with a figure linked to art, sport and culture. The final co-creations were between Blaya and Juliana Bezerra | Jewellery, Gustavo Ribeiro and Mesh, Rafael Morais and Magajóias, Jéssica Pina and Ourivesaria Tavares, Gaspar Varela and Farilu.

The Travessia campaign and the Crossings collection are part of the internationalization project of the jewelry sector promoted by AORP and funded by Portugal 2020, under the Operational Program Competitiveness and Internationalization, with funds from the European Regional Development Fund.
