Sometimes love is a strange place. Some other times it is musc, words and caring gestures. It’s about permanent ink and dancing in the rain. Endless nights of eye to eye. Sometimes love is disaffection, made of inner and pointless fights. Hot shivers of summer nights and cold feet of warm hearts. Sometimes love is made of words that are neither said nor written, chest tightness and discomfort. Love is about wooden huts, beaches and waves. Endless cliffs of hopes and jumps. Love is written, thought and said. Like someone who takes photographs, reveals them and hangs them on a wall, framed for whoever wants to appreciate it. Love is filmed and shown to the world, like a love letter.
The idea came out of a thought. “Why don’t I write something for you? Tell you how I feel and show it without any embarassment?”. And then love and art joined together.
“Why did you want to produce this video?”, we asked to Pedro Santasmarinas, fashion film author and the boydfriend of Carla Sofia – model at Portugal Fashion. The answer was as simple and beautiful as the video itself: “It’s a clear love letter do Carla Sofia”. And then friendship came across as well, as many fashion professionals supported the video, making it an authentic celebration of talent and, of course, Portuguese fashion. “We came to the obvious conclusion that we have many talented friends”, Pedro told us. Truth is we can watch how several Made in Portugal brands participated in the video: M Pire, Molly Moks and Darkside Eyewear are a few of them and to the author, who has the ambition of making it into the fashion film industry, it always made perfect sense. “We decided to present the idea aiming to show these amazing people and share their work. We are very proud to stand next to people who believe in us, as we believe in them and their talent”.
