The Imagine-a-Bag project, a collaboration between Portugal Fashion, Vila do Conde Porto Fashion Outlet and Freeport Lisboa Fashion Outlet, presented the final result of a multifunctional and sustainable bag, the result of a partnership between designers, promoting collaborative innovation in fashion
The Bloom platform also featured the presentation of the Imagine-a-Bag project, an initiative of Vila do Conde Porto Fashion Outlet and Freeport Lisboa Fashion Outlet, which launched a competition to develop a multifunctional bag that would suit a sustainable way of life. The winner was the AREA 8 project, which is the result of collaborative work between designers, namely bloomers House of Wildflowers, AHCOR and Maria Carlos Baptista. This project led to the design of not one, but several versions of the multifunctional bag, which were presented and put on sale during the 53rd Portugal Fashion. In the words of the designer who won the competition, “it made perfect sense to think of a collaborative project because I believe that partnerships are the best way to develop in various areas, and fashion is no exception”, adding that “the challenge launched by Via Outlets could represent a form of future support for national fashion, should other entities follow suit”
