The penultimate day of Portugal Fashion began with the iTechStyle Green Circle fashion show, with the support of CITEVE, which focuses mainly on sustainability issues in the fashion industry. This show, promoted by the Textile and Clothing Technology Center, in collaboration with Associação Selectiva Moda and curated by Paulo Gomes, presented creations developed from textile waste. The creatives behind the pieces included students from Universidade Lusófona, ESART Castelo Branco, Universidade de Lisboa and ESAD. The collection focuses mainly on bio-based materials and the use of natural processes, including dyeing. Some of the coordinates were accompanied by a “digital passport” which provides detailed information, such as water consumption and the origin of the materials, as well as assessing the product’s impact. A reminder of the goals that the fashion industry must achieve by 2030 in terms of sustainability.
