NEYA Porto Hotel was the official hotel unit of the 50th Portugal Fashion autumn/winter’23. This means that national and international guests, as well as industry and media professionals stayed at this four-star hotel located in
Miragaia, Porto.
For the director of Portugal Fashion, Mónica Neto, “the partnership with NEYA Porto Hotel is advantageous for both parties. Portugal Fashion enjoys, under favourable conditions, the services of a luxurious hotel, located in a historical building of the city and with a superb view over the Douro River. It is, in fact, located close to Alfândega do Porto. In turn, with this partnership with Portugal Fashion, the NEYA Porto Hotel is associated with an event that is a reference of cosmopolitanism, creativity and sophistication in our country”, explains the same director.
With a privileged location in Porto’s riverside area, the NEYA Porto Hotel was opened in August 2020, as a result of the restoration of the ruins of the Madre Deus de Monchique Convent, where part of the action of Camilo Castelo Branco’s “Amor de Perdição” takes place. The construction has kept the original features of the convent and the gardened cloisters, thus preserving the history of the building. Its 124 rooms include suites with themes alluding to Portuguese industry, such as Bordallo Pinheiro’s faience, Delta coffee, Corticeira Amorim cork and Vista Alegre porcelain.
