Pedro Pedro, David Catalán, Estelita Mendonça and Huarte are the Portuguese designers presenting their collections at Tranoï. The Portuguese representation in this action in partnership with Portugal Fashion also includes the brand Brandin.pt. The official trade show partner of the Paris Fashion Week takes place from January 19 to 22, at Garage Amelot, in Paris.
The initiative gives continuity to the partnership between Portugal Fashion and Tranoï, announced at the end of May last year. The first participation in Paris, after the signed agreement, took place in the men’s week, spring-summer 2023, in June 2022, with David Catalán, Estelita Mendonça, and Huarte. In March of the same year, during the women’s fashion week, Susana Bettencourt, Davii and Nopin joined the trade show representing Portugal Fashion.
Supported by Tranoï’s extensive network of contacts and the Féderation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM), Portugal Fashion joined a partner of enormous international relevance for the promotion of the Portuguese fashion business. In each edition, Portugal Fashion is responsible for the proposal of names to participate, being Tranoï responsible for the choice and curatorship of the brands, using its know-how of several years and evaluating the international positioning that each brand may have in the several world markets.
The two entities signed an agreement for six editions in Paris and three editions in Oporto. Besides the participation of Portuguese designers in the show in France, Tranoï is responsible for inviting buyers to the national editions of Portugal Fashion, until October 2023.
