TVI was the official television station of the 45th Portugal Fashion Spring-Summer 2020, and reports of this edition of the event were broadcast on both its general channel and its information channel: TVI24. For the 5th time in a row, the Queluz TV station partnered with Portugal Fashion, and was the exclusive broadcaster of its fashion shows. Similarly to that which happened in the previous edition of the event, in March, the production of the programmes was 100% TVI.
The partnership with Portugal Fashion envolves the direction and broadcasting of nine 90-second programmes on TVI and TVI24, as well as seven 10/12 minute programmes broadcast only on the Media Capital group’s information channel. The programmes were hosted by international model Luís Borges.
The 45th Portugal Fashion shows could be watched by thousands of viewers on TVI’s channels. It should be noted that the longer programmes on TVI24 feature not only fashion shows but also preparations for Portugal Fashion, backstage bustle, interviews with key players, side events, among others. Televisão Independente (TVI) is the fourth general TV channel and the second privately-owned channel. It started broadcasting on a regular basis in October 1993 and one year later, thanks to its own transmission network, it covered the whole of the Portuguese territory. Broadcasts of TVI’s first cable channel started in February 2009. TVI24, the third Portuguese TV news channel, was then born. Both channels belong to Media Capital, the leading communication group in Portugal.
