Portugal Fashion and Salsa Jeans have joined forces to promote the new edition of the BLOOM competition, which is accepting applications until June 4, 2025. Portugal Fashion's platform for new designers, which has been revealing talents in the world of fashion for fourteen years, reinforces its importance through the partnership with Salsa Jeans.

ADDRESSEES
The BLOOM CONTEST PWD BY SALSA JEANS aims to gather applications from young designers who present projects focused on the creation of Portuguese author fashion brands, with an identity rooted in the appreciation of design, the production of sustainable collections, the potential for digital presence, and international growth. The contest is open to young designers residing in Portugal, aged between 18 and 40. It is not required for applicants to be currently enrolled in, or have previously attended, formal fashion education – the contest is open to anyone who wishes to develop and showcase their own creative work in the fashion context. Applications can be submitted individually, in pairs, or as a collective.

WINNER
The winning designer will be awarded the following prizes/benefits:
– Monetary prize of €2,450to support the development of their next collection
– Salsa Jeans Bloom Experience – a paid professional internship at Salsa Jeans (6 months)with the opportunity to experience different operational areas
– Invitation to participate in future editions of Portugal Fashion or other associated events
– Guidance and support for the collection’s development by the platform’s coordinating team
– Technical support for runway presentation
– Mentoring and free legal advisory supportvia ANJE
– Postgraduate course in Fashion Management at Católica Porto Business School
– Six months of press office and showroom support from SHOWPRESS – Press and PR Office
Honorable Mention
The designer who receives the honorable mention will be distinguished with the following prizes/benefits:
– Salsa Jeans Bloom Residency – a short-term internship (3 months), conceived as an immersive experience tailored to the specific needs and profile of the designer receiving the honourable mention.
– Invitation to participate in future editions of Portugal Fashion or other associated events
– Guidance and support for the collection’s development by the platform’s coordinating team
– Technical support for runway presentation
– Mentoring and free legal informativo gratuito, através da ANJE.
– Executive training voucher worth €500 to be used at Católica Porto Business School
– Six months of press office and showroom support from SHOWPRESS – Press and PR Office
