LAUNCH OF THE LUXURY & FASHION BUSINESS CLUB IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PORTUGAL FASHION

Portugal Fashion is one of the partners of the Luxury & Fashion Business Club – Católica Lisbon, an initiative that aims to establish a reference center for professionals and enthusiasts in the areas of Luxury and Fashion and create a bridge between the academic world and the industry.

Besides Portugal Fashion, the partners of the initiative include other relevant entities in the area: Amorim Luxury, ANIVEC, Castelbel, Clarins, Laurel, the Luxury Management Program of CATÓLICA-LISBON Executive Education and ModaLisboa.

Founded by Martim Villa-Nova and Mariana Barroso, in the context of the Católica Lisbon Business & Economics, the club was created to promote knowledge in the Luxury and Fashion areas and to boost the careers of future professionals of excellence, through the development of online content, masterclasses, networking moments and other events, and the establishment of partnerships and mentorships with prestigious companies, recruiters, and figures from each Luxury and Fashion sub-industry.

The Luxury & Fashion Business Club held its Launch Event at the art gallery Coletivo 284, in Lisbon, on April 27, and includes Portugal Fashion as a project partner and Mónica Neto, director of Portugal Fashion, as a member of the Advisory Committee.

The event aimed to divulge the project, its departments, the work done, and the consulting services offered to companies and brands. It took place through a networking moment between the members of the club and the most diverse professionals and companies that operate in the Luxury and Fashion industries. The launching moment included a round table that discussed the status quo of these industries in Portugal, composed by the club mentors: Francisco Carvalheira, General Secretary of LAUREL and guest lecturer of the Luxury Management Program of CATÓLICA-LISBON Executive Education; Mónica Seabra Mendes, Director of the Luxury Management Program of CATÓLICA-LISBON Executive Education; Ricardo Preto, Fashion Designer and Creative Director of Amorim Luxury Group; Eduarda Abbondanza – Founder and President of ModaLisboa Association. The panel also included Maria Pimentel – Buyer and consultant for Amorim Luxury Group.
